Stephen followed in his father Jonathan's footsteps and in 2013 and studied and passed to get his real estate license. In 2019 Stephen established Heins Real Estate with Jonathan starting their own real estate company. He studied and passed the Principal Broker exam becoming Heins Real Estate's managing broker license.
Prior to his real estate career Stephen graduated in '06 from Oregon State University specializing in Business management and spent time in the restaurant industry enjoying bartending and restaurant management.
Stephen trained along his Father's experience and knowledge and hit the ground running. His first day licensed he found a client a home and got an accepted offer by end of day. He also brings a new look and complimentary ideas to Heins Real Estate with knowledge in social media and the ever-changing technological advancements used in the market today. Stephen also has enjoyed learning about the investment portion of the business and invested and bought and sold multiple properties.
When he's not working on the business and selling real estate Stephen loves to cook, follow sports, and spend time with his wife and two Australian Shepards.

Jonathan started selling real estate in the Portland Area in 1977. He worked in the old school Real Estate era! Jonathan graduated from Linfield college and has stories of conversations he had with classmates about Real Estate since he can remember. Jonathan has seen many of the sides of the Real Estate business and markets and his creativity and experience in all markets gives him lots of versatility as a Realtor. He often states he has pretty much seen everything that could possibly happen in a real estate transaction.
Gladstone was home for Jonathan and his family. Working hard walking the area and handing out flyers he was always on the pulse when it came to the Gladstone Real Estate. To this day he has sold a number of houses multiple times in the area. A true Gladstone Real Estate Specialist. Jonathan has made personal investments along with his wife over the years and has a passion for rental property and managing those properties hands on with many repairs and oversight. Jonathan has lots of experience in negotiation and representation in all aspects of the real estate world.
Jonathan comes from a time in of real estate where the true negotiations took place. He has a reputation us a very tough negotiator and always has the philosophy to always work for your clients and their best interests in mind first.
When he's not working selling real estate with his son Stephen and being a full time realtor/ landlord he has a passion and love the game of golf.
The more Stephen and Jonathan worked together in Real Estate the more they wanted to create a business together. When you are a real estate agent working with a brokerage you report to a "principal broker". They review all your paperwork and activity under your license and help out in anyway possible. When you work with a client you are a sub-agent of your principal broker. You sign your contracts and clients on the the managing principal broker's behalf as an agent of the company. We like the the idea of always keeping things simple and not complicated. We don't work with a team of agents on listings and cordinate and fumble paperwork. When our clients work with us they have a direct line to both of us and we are hands on with all our transactions.
We love new challenges and decided after many years being under other company licenses it was time to start Heins Real Estate and create something we feel can benefit our clients directly and expand our business and our cause.
